Yesterday when I was watching Ruffa and Ai (a morning show in the Phil.) I was in awe when Gretchen Barretto (an actress & so called socialite) guested and wore this very nice piece of necklace. It was a Lanvin necklace, so nice and pretty. She does look gorgeous but I was thinking how much it cost. As I was researching the necklace itself cost around $1,241. Wow! So its around Php 60,000 here in the Philippines. Some women are just so lucky to own those expensive pieces especially nowadays that we have global financial crisis. For me, maybe I can only dream of having those but I'm already contented of what I have now. =)

Last Saturday my son also graduated from pre-school. All of us in the family were there to witness and support him. We were all proud of him coz he received an award which is Life of the Class award.. it just means that he is such a jolly and happy kid. I'm glad my son turned out the way I want him to be. I just want him to enjoy his life being a kid and don't want to pressure him on anything. He's going to be in grade 1 this June and I'm kinda excited and worried at the same time for him. I just hope and pray that he can overcome all the changes he would encounter in going to a big school. But I assure him that mommy will always be at his side to take care of him and attend to his needs. Time flies so fast, my little first born is going to be in elementary soon.

My Brother's Graduation

Wow! its been like days since I've posted here.. So many reasons, was too busy the past days because its pompom's final exams and have to make some mock testpapers for him to answer. Finally, his exams ended yesterday. Last Saturday was my brother's graduation. All of us attended, we're all proud of him on what he has achieved. His course was no joke but he stood out among the rest because of his best software developer award. I can say that my brother has talent too just like my elder brother who is a graphic artist in Dubai. I'm happy now coz my mom and dad doesn't have to spend so much anymore. They will be a senior citizen soon and can enjoy life to the fullest seeing their kids achieve so much in life. I've realized that the greatest gift kids can give their parent is showing them that you strive hard to achieve a college degree. And I'm proud and happy to say that even if I got married right away, I still earned my college degree. All the sacrifices was still credited.

I want to share with you how proud I am of my brother. Yesterday we attended his ringhop and hooding ceremony at the grand convention center. Its an event before graduation day where they get together and receive their college ring. One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of awards. I'm proud to say that my brother was awarded as THE BEST SOFTWARE DEVELOPER.. in short he is a webmaster. All the hardwork was worth it. He is graduating tomorrow and we're all excited to see him accept his diploma. Information Technology course is no joke.. It needs hardwork and the sacrifices of my brother paid off. He deserves it coz he works hard with his projects and I know he has a God - given talent. I'm also happy for my mom and dad coz they were not disappointed with my brother.. I can see in their eyes that they're very proud and happy of what my brother has achieved.

Havaianas kids flip flops recalled in RP

The official distributor of Havaianas flip flops in the Philippines said it pulled out some models of children’s flip flops in the market due to possibly high lead content.
Terry S.A. Inc. said in a statement it pulled out the Havaianas kids styles available in the country after an earlier recall in the US.
According to Ammiel de Leon, brand manager of Havaianas Philippines, the following models cannot be bought anymore in the country: Baby Estampas, Baby Pets, Baby Letrinhas, Kids Lucky Bug, Kids Fun, Kids Surf, Kids Pets, Kids Sports, Kids Monsters, Kids Apple, Kids Fairy, Kids Flores, Kids Lighthouse, Kids Candies, Kids Love, and Kids Rock.
De Leon said the flip flops only come from the Baby and Kids collection. The Havaianas local distributor said it recalled the flip flops as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.
Meanwhile, Terry S.A. said the recalled flip flops will undergo testing in an independent laboratory in Asia. Anne Gonzalez, managing director of Terry S.A., said the company will continue to dialogue with the Department of Trade and Industry as it awaits more information from its Brazilian manufacturer.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning on March 3 about the lead content of Havaianas flip flops for children.
It said the recalled Havaianas styles’ “decorative paint on the sole of the flip flops can contain levels of lead in excess of the federal standard.”
The US CPSC said the following model names have been recalled in America: Baby Estampas, Baby Pets, Kids Apple, Kids Fairy, Kids Flores, Kids Lighthouse, Kids Monsters, Kids Surf, Baby Letrinhas, Kids Sports, Kids Candies, Kids Fun, Kids Love, Kids Sereias, Kids Speed, Kids Lucky Bug, Kids Pets, Kids Rock, Kids Slim, Kids Wonder Woman, Kids Small Flowers and Kids Tropical w/Kit.
The federal agency advised consumers to “immediately take the recalled flip flops away from children” and return them to manufacturer Alpargatas USA, Inc. to receive a replacement.
Alpargatas is based in New York while the recalled children’s flip flops were manufactured in Brazil.

I was suppose to post this blog yesterday but was too busy celebrating with hubby and kids. We spent our 7th year of blissful marriage. Time flies in a fast speed and we've surpassed the so called 7 years itch.. But its still a long journey, so many things we have to experience. No matter how tough it is, we're ready to face it. Being with a man like my husband, nothing is impossible. We're not the perfect couple, nobody is but I'm proud to say that we always have time for each other and we always have time for our kids. We love being together all the time and that makes me happy and contented. Communication and bonding time is what we always consider to make things right. Being married is not in a bed of roses, but its roses with a lot of thorns and its up to you how you handle it. I'm proud to say that so far we're handling it the right way. I'm a happy wife and mother no matter how hard it is to be a full time housewife. Whats important to me more than anything else is my family are happy and in good health.

So happy to receive something from a friend.. This arrived yesterday some burberry stuff and bath and body works lotion. Thanks mam! (thats what I call her) She's a friend who's so generous and the only one who gives anything without any conditions. I love the scent of the lotion and I like it coz its not greasy. The polo and hanky are for my husband, which he used right away. heheh! I'm planning now to switch to bath and body works for my everyday use.

Just would like to share with you this cute and yummy cookies given to us by a Malaysian friend. I'm sharing this coz I really find it so cute.. especially the shape. My kids were amazed, when they saw it they can't wait to open and eat it.. Its an authentic Indonesian premium cookies, it is very unique and homemade.

Its another Saturday and Sunday bonding with my boys. Ever since, weekends have been always a time for us to spend time with each other. It doesn't have to be extravagant. We would just go out malling, eating out, attending mass and doing the grocery. Of course sometimes I get to shop too.. LoL! And sometimes I just stroll around and check on things which are nice and affordable. Luckily I've found something that is fit for  summer. I don't know exactly the name of this but what I know is I like it and I have to buy it. So, I bought two colors.. Black and yellow.. see pictures below.. Isn't it cute? You just have to add some accessories when you wear it and then you're off to being in style for summer. heheh! You can wear it as a dress with a cropped cardigan or wear as a top with leggings.. Its all up to you how you carry it.

Actually I bought this the other week but I just want to share this fab find. When we were in SM I really don't have plans buying flipflops coz I just recently bought havaianas slim peacock, an addition to my collection. But when I passed by Celine, it immediately caught my attention. Its a good thing that the price is only 299 each.. I have no second thoughts but to buy immediately before its gone coz its selling like hotcakes. The other colors were yellow and orange but I prefer black and white. Its perfect to wear everywhere, a very comfy thongs..

wow! its been quite awhile since I last posted a blog here.. sorry guys, was just too busy with my kids and other stuff. Its really not easy being a full time mom but I'm not complaining ok? LoL! So many things happened the past monts, but I'm too tired to remember it all. heheh! So I might just start with today and all the next days.. hmmm... I won't promise but I'll really try to post something everyday.. I would like to share and talk about a lot of stuff. Like being a mom, a wife.. talk about what's in style, shoes, bags, make ups and all about the girly stuff. This is for all the Mommies out there who still want to look pretty and be stylish aside from being a mom.. =)
